A weekend for experienced DCFs looking to build a business as a drum circle facilitator. This
professional facilitator-development program builds business skills, provides process facilitation
training, and offers a format for developing your own style while delivering intention-based rhythm
events to all types of professional organizations.
What Is Professional Facilitator Development?
The Professional Facilitator Development weekend is designed to help Drum Circle
Facilitators professionalize their unique facilitation niche. This workshop will help the
facilitator clearly identify a market image, improve communication through use of process
facilitation techniques, and apply facilitation formats to individual circumstances. Workshop
leaders will assist participants in processing business development experiences with other
facilitators and in the techniques needed to develop intention-based rhythm events for all types of
professional organizations.
The workshop will lead participants in an exploration of the basic elements needed for a
successful facilitated drum circle event.
The Professional Development Weekend Helps Facilitators:
- Develop a personal DCF niche
- Design rhythm events for professional organizations
- Market rhythm events to professional organizations
- Deliver professionally facilitated events
Educational Objectives
At the completion of this weekend, participants will have:
- Explored group dynamics through the use of group development models
- Learned techniques to design and implement professional rhythm events
- Participated in rhythm activities appropriate for professional settings
- Experienced group processing skills
- Learned how to avoid common communication pitfalls
- Explored the use of metaphor to punctuate message
Who Is This Workshop Designed For?
This workshop is designed for the experienced Drum Circle Facilitator who is looking for
resources and education to assist in building a business as a professional Drum Circle
Facilitator. DCFs serving any population will benefit from this program.
Qualifications
To attend, participants must have completed at least one Basic or Level 1 Facilitator Training.
This workshop is open to any Level 1 Intensive graduate who wants to develop drum circle
facilitation business skills.
Continuing Education Credits
Music therapists, social workers, college students and teachers may earn Continuing Education and
Professional Development Credits through our training programs.
